Here is the shortest press release that I have ever seen, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s about the newest MMO to come about – Digimon.  If you watched the cartoon all those years ago (either as your guilty pleasure or with your kids), you’ll be excited.  If you love anime monsters that you can control (i.e. Pokemon) then you’ll love this one as well.  I’ll be keeping my eye on this one as I’m curious to see what they do with it and I’m hoping they do it right! Why The Tea Party Movement Is So Popular

Posted in Political Crap with tags , , , , , , , , , on 02/23/2010 by angrygyrl

More and more you see, or hear, in the news about the Tea Party Movement and how popular they are becoming. While many of you out there know all about them, the majority only have heard about them and aren’t really sure what they are about or what they are trying to do. No, I’m not an expert, but I do follow the Tea Party movement as well as what’s going on in our government today. I do however understand the main pilar behind their movement and I agree with it wholeheartedly – truth.

Truth in government – one of the main things that we fought for freedom for over two centuries ago.  We want our politicians to tell the truth damn it.  We’re tired of hearing one thing, then watching them do another.  We’re tired of being promised everything under the sun and told what we want to hear and then having the rug pulled out from under us.  We are sick and tired of politicians that feel they are “untouchable” and think that they can’t be fired.

Well guess what – you can be fired ladies and gentlemen.

You can and you will be.  If you don’t believe me, simply look at some of the upsets that are going on in the political world right now - and I’m talking about both parties.  Suddenly democratic states are voting in republican senators, and states that are fed up with those same old republicans that don’t seem to get it are now voting in those that do.

This is why the Tea Party movement is gaining popularity, we are all ready to stand up for the things that we believe in.  We aren’t ready to go down without a fight, and we aren’t ready to give in to our politicians that just want to spend without limits, lie without consequences, and take advantage of the American people on a daily basis.  I for one am extremely sick of it.  Why can’t the people in our government see what’s going on and see that they are on their way out?

The answer my friends is simple – they have their heads way up their rears and they are happy being ignorant.  Because hey, if they don’t know what’s going on, they don’t have to acknowledge it.

I want to see our nation become great again.  I want to see other people in the world respect us again.  I want to see honest politicians that will actually do what they say.  I want a government that works.

Am I dreaming?  No, I don’t think so.  I do think that if we all pull together and stand up for the things that we believe it and hold our politicians to their words and oaths, then we can change America back to what it used to be, what it should be.

We don’t want to leave our nation a messed up ball of mush for our children and grandchildren to fix do we?  I know I don’t.

Some Conspiracy Theories Piss Me Off

Posted in General Crap with tags , , , , , on 02/22/2010 by angrygyrl

I grew up with hearing stories of Pearl Harbor from my grandfather. I heard about all of the bravery, the sorrow, the terror. I saw the pictures that he managed to get home and I realized as I grew up what a great man he was and what a great generation he came from. Today, most people are whiners (yes, I’m guilty of it too), and they don’t want to take much responsiblity or action. It’s all pass the buck. So, when I sit here watching a show on the History channel that it trying to convince me that Pearl Harbor as well as 9/11 both were known about by the government and allowed to happen – I have to call bullshit.

I know that right before Pearl Harbor, there was a report that came in that Japanese planes were headed toward Hawaii and that report was kind of blown off. Do I think that was a massive mistake, obviously. Do I think that it is cause for a consipiracy theory to pop up saying that FDR knew about the attack and allowed it? Hell no.

The same goes with how I view 9/11. While I do think that our government could have nabbed Bin Laden prior to the attack, I don’t think that our government knew about an attack that massive and just said ok and allowed it to happen. And, to say that they allowed 9/11 to happen just so we could go to war in the Middle East – I really just want to smack them.

Come on, really? I don’t think that these consipiracy theories about how governments throughout time have allowed their own people to die in massive attacks over and over and over. It’s all of these “professors” and “philosophers” that create these conspiracy theories and spread them like a plague all over the web, all over the television, and create a load of crap that would feed an army.

I do have to admit that I love to hear a good conspiracy theory – most of them make me laugh. But to really consider these two conspiracy theories just cuts down every American life that was lost in those two attacks and every military life lost, every veteran that was disabled, and those that have to leave their families behind to fight for these bastards that want to spew out these theories. It pisses me off.

I have a feeling that all of these “professors” and “philosophers” have never served in the military. They have never had one of their close family members go to war, or Heaven forbid, die there. They don’t care. They simply want to get their face our there and try to get some fame off of disaster. While this has happened throughout history and will continue to happen, it makes me sad.

US Blowing Up Chemical Weapons On US Soil To Please Our Haters?

Posted in Political Crap, World Crap with tags , , , , on 02/19/2010 by angrygyrl

While I was reading the news this morning, I came across a story about the two different stockpiles of our chemical weapons in Colorado and Kentucky and how the government plans to get rid of them. They have had this plan in for years, slowly neutralizing our weapons in a clean, safe manner. However, now they want to actually blow some of them up on US soil – close to towns, animals, people – so they can get rid of the quicker.

Here’s my thought – why does it matter how “fast” they are taken care of? Wouldn’t it be best to do it right so that they are neutralized and won’t pose any type of threat than blasting them and praying it doesn’t escape into the air? Read more »
